Calcium is important for much more than just healthy bones. Our body requires it constantly — from controlling muscle movements (including the heartbeat) to helping with digestion and enabling blood clotting. In MAXD, we include two forms of calcium: calcium citrate and calcium phosphate. Calcium phosphate is the main type of calcium present in bones and teeth. You can also get calcium through foods like dairy, leafy greens such as kale, and calcium-enriched soy milk. Interesting fact: our bones serve as the body’s largest storage site for calcium.
